Taking a leaf out of 's book, I'm going to post an FAQ journal, because I get the same questions asked of me repeatedly.



Q: What digital drawing programs do you use?
A: I use Photoshop Elements 5.0. I also draw on Sakura-chan oekaki (which is where I drew the FAQ header).

Q: What traditional media do you use?
A: I use prismacolor markers, prismacolor pencils, graphite, ink, and charcoal. I don't post a lot of my original media works here on dA.

Q: Do you take requests or art trades?
A: I am currently not taking requests, and I will only do art trades with artists I watch for the time being, if at all. I'll let y'all know when I'm open to requests.

Q: I have this awesome/funny/cute comic idea to give you, so can you draw it?
A: Unfortunately, I'm experiencing a surplus in ideas for fanart, original art, and comics. This is actually causing me to lose motivation, because I would be working on an old idea, even though I have new ones I wish to draw. And I never seem to have enough time to get to all of them. It's rather stressful. Besides, if you have a great idea, I think you should draw it (and send me a link when it's finished ).

Q: You're not commenting/updating as much as you used to. Are you dead?
A: No, but I feel like it sometimes. Classes, studying, work, and quality time with friends is eating up my schedule. I barely have free time for myself at the moment (I am writing this FAQ at 1:30 AM, if that gives you any idea).

Q: Will you be writing any more essays?
A: If I feel up to it, I might. If I were to write a new one, it would likely be a ShinoHina essay. Also, I shall update my other essays whenever I find new information, and I will let you guys know when I do.

Q: Can you write an essay about [insert topic here]?
A: Unless the topic really catches my attention, no.

Q: Will you be drawing any more Monty Python crossovers or continuing the "A Bad Influence" series?
A: I might, if I get the inspiration and motivation to do so.

Q: YOU FRIEND ME, I FRIEND YOU BACK LOL!
A: Um, no. I'm actually quite conservative with watching artists; I don't want to have a huge load of deviations and journals in my message center.

Q: Check out my gallery please! I have no friends.
A: Okay, I'll take a quick look, but that does not mean that I will comment and/or add you to my watch.

Q: Why do you draw [insert pairing here]?! It's a stupid pairing, no offense, and I can say whatever I want because I'm an American!
A: I draw and like whatever I want, and the same goes for you too. If you don't want to see [insert pairing here], then stop looking at the art for that pairing, and don't flame me, because I will respond by smacking logic in your face. And while the Constitution protects your freedom of speech from the federal and state government, it does not protect you from the users who will report you for rude behavior, and it won't protect you from the admins who could ban you. _{And yes, I've received a flame like this. That was amusing. . .}

Q: You should totally draw hot smexy yaoi. There's no easier and better way to be popular and loved than to draw steamy SasoDei/SasuNaru/KakaIru/etc!!
A: No. I draw what I want to draw, not what would make me popular. I'm not here for pageviews.

Questions Relating to Of Insanity and Inspiration

Q: When's the next page coming out?!
A: Currently, I am tight on time. I really want to work on it (among other fanarts). I won't be ending it here, though. I might be able to get the next page up sometime this week. I am more excited about some of the later chapters, so I may be inspire to update more often once I reach those chapters.

Q: How many chapters will there be?
A: There will be 12-14 chapters, depending on whether two chapters need to be split into two. There will be two volumes, the first one titled "The Iwa Nin" and the second "The Missing Nin," so you can obviously tell that he won't leave the village until about halfway through the story.

Q: How old is Deidara?
A: Deidara was 5 in the first chapter, and he is 8 in the current chapter. He will be 9 in chapter 4, and future chapters will depict him at ages 12, 15, and 18.

Q: Why doesn't Deidara have handmouths already?
A: The recent databook has confirmed that Deidara's handmouths are a forbidden jutsu, NOT a bloodline. I will show how he develops them in a later chapter.

Q: Do you mind if I give you a tip?
A: I don't mind at all! I'd love to have some helpful critiques, because the whole project is supposed to improve my drawing skills and challenge myself. However, I won't be looking for tips on the storyline. For the most part (there is some room for changes if need be), the story is set.

Q: What's going to happen next?!
A:

Q: Which canon characters will appear in OIAI?
A: Obviously, Deidara will be in the story. Others that will appear are Itachi, Sasori, Kisame, Pain, and Jiraiya. There is one more important OC and a couple minor ones left to be introduced.

Q: Why did the doujinshi style change from ch. 1 to ch. 2?
A: I wasn't satisfied with how the first chapter looked, so I switched from digital to traditional media. There is another big change I wish to make, but I'll wait until ch. 3 (I at least want the chapters to look uniform). Once I finish OIAI completely, I'll most likely redo ch. 1, if not ch. 2 as well.

Q: Can I draw the OIAI OCs/color any doujinshi panels/write drabbles based on OIAI?
A: Absolutely! Please do send me a link of your works, because I'd like to see them.
