Here is the cover for my Deidara doujinshi, Of Insanity and Inspiration. On this cover, I have depicted the different stages in Deidara's life that I will cover. The Deidara at the bottom is him at age 8/9 as a genin/chuunin. The next one (wearing the typical Iwa jounin uniform) is him at age 12. By the way, that's not Rasengan he's holding, but something that will be explained in chapter 1-2. The top one is Deidara as a missing-nin, age 14.

This doujinshi will explain my take on how he came to be the way he is. It will explain why he left Iwa, how he can do his technique (and why he's the only one), how he developed his jutsu, why he says "un," why he is the youngest member of Akatsuki, what caused him to become near insane, and how he came to believe that "art is a bang." My sister ~HatakeKelley also helped me develop the plot.

You may notice that only two of the four Deidaras have mouths on their hands. This is because I firmly believe that the handmouths are not a bloodline, nor is he part of a ninja clan. A majority of ninja are not part of a clan, and not all clans have a bloodline limit (ex: the kikai bugs are not a bloodline of the Aburame clan, but a clan technique). Besides, Deidara takes great pride in his art, and why would he be so proud of it if he was born with it? Therefore, I believe that he, like many other ninja, had experimented with his body and developed his own jutsu.

Lastly, I want to let everyone that dislikes a Deidara pairing know that there will be no romance in this doujinshi whatsoever. I don't think that Deidara ever used "love" as his motivation for anything. Also, he's very young in the whole doujinshi (8-16), so he won't be focused on that sort of thing anyway. So, for those of my watchers who don't like DeiSaku (and you all know that I'm anti-yaoi), it won't be in the doujinshi at ALL. Heck, Sakura won't even be mentioned, anyway.

According to my outline, the doujinshi will be split into two volumes (this being the Volume 1 cover), and each volume will have 6-7 chapters. The first volume contains the chapters following Deidara's time as a Iwa ninja. In Volume 2, he will be a missing-nin. However, the length is subject to change.
