Nanna and Grandpa Benderstuck Profiles

Nanna is a member of the Southern Air Temple’s Council of Elders. Although her role in the community carries a great importance, she uses her sense of humor and adventure to keep things fun and upbeat, despite the troubling times. She is a particularly adept prankster, and has taught her grandson John everything she knows about such trickery and japery. Oh, and airbending, that too.

Grandpa is a renown explorer and surveyor from the Earth Kingdom. He has ventured throughout the entire world to record the geology and geography of each continent. His work has contributed to many books, maps, and resources. He now spends his retirement in Omashu with his granddaughter, Jade. Although most of her family lives in an air temple, she decided to move to the Earth Kingdom with Grandpa, since he is the only earthbender in the family other than her. She is the only person who has learned his special earthbending style.
