Earth Kingdom: Aradia Megido

Aradia Megido is a peasant living in the Lower Ring of Ba Sing Se. She doesn't really mind her current social status; she honestly prefers to keep to herself and not attract attention. Which is why she keeps her talent for earthbending secret. Only her childhood best friend and sparring partner knows that she is quite talented, and that she might've discovered a way to bend metal. Thankfully, he understands that she doesn't want anyone else to know. She hopes that her smarts and her personal studies will help her get enough scholarship money for her to study Anthropology at Ba Sing Se University. Being drafted into the Earth Kingdom military as an earthbender would prevent her from pursuing her passion for archeology.

Lately, a wealthy upper-class earthbender has been "pestering" her. At least, that's what she thinks it is, since he seems to pretend to love her while mocking her for her social class standing. Her relationship with him is rather confusing, and equally confusing is how she feels about her best friend.
